Christian’s Facade

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of one of my original characters! This is Christian when he was alive, and he used to be a Doctor turned serial killer before he was arrested for his crimes and sentenced to death in prison. I wanted to draw this picture to add lore to his story. I’m very proud of his expression and how he looks in general! It was fun to draw this! Merry Christmas to you all! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Gingerbread Man

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of a Gingerbread man that I drew for my Junior year in high school. It was just a quick drawing that I did so I could finish my assignment and my teacher loved it! It was honestly a fun thing to draw, and I wouldn’t mind doing another one that’s similar. Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

New Raincoat!

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of a raincoat design I came up with! It was inspired by these adorable rain boots that I saw at Target and I just had to have them! I don’t have a raincoat that matched them, so I decided to draw one! It was fun to come up with this design, and I had a blast drawing it! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Cute Sweater

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of me wearing a sweater that I actually own! I felt inspired to draw this when I wore a similar outfit the other day! I was procrastinating on drawing this, but I’m happy to finally get it done! And it was fun to draw from start to finish, and I’m very proud of the results! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Winter PJ’s

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of me wearing PJ’s! I felt compelled to draw this because when I was chatting with my best friend recently, she sent me a photo of pajamas that were similar and I thought, “I have to draw myself wearing those!” And here it is! This is for my best friend. It was fun experimenting with different brushes for this art piece, and I felt like I did a great job at it! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Gothic Girl

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of a goth girl! I was browsing around on Amazon for wigs when I saw this beautiful black one, so I drew this girl with a similar hairstyle, and that’s how this artwork came to be! I had lots of fun with this, but tank tops are hard to draw! Anyways, I still got this done and here it is! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Strawberry Boston Cream Cake

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of a new character I came up with! I don’t have a name for her, though! She’s a strawberry Boston cream cake. I can’t decide on a name for her, which is one of my flaws! But I’m very happy with her design, and I had fun drawing it! If you want to suggest a name for her, feel free to put it in the comments! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Grumpy Winslow

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another drawing of a grumpy Winslow. I drew this because I was in a mindset where if I’m grumpy, then so is Winslow! I’m proud with how this drawing turned out, it doesn’t look that bad to me. Anyways, it was another drawing I did to calm myself down, and it worked! It was fun to draw this, I like drawing happy characters in a grumpy state of mind! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Winslow’s Frustration

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of my character Winslow getting frustrated because someone doesn’t seem to be doing his job correctly! Normally, Winslow’s a very down-to-Earth kind of telly-head, so it takes a lot for him to get angry! But hey, everyone has a bad day, right? I wanted to draw this because I, too, was upset about something. But I’m feeling better now. It was therapeutic, and fun to draw this! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week! I hope you all have a happy Halloween!

Fury The Flame

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of another one of my original characters. This is Fury, he’s the former Prince of his kingdom, which is named Flamoria. He was exiled when he couldn’t find a new Queen for his kingdom. Flames can only live for a certain amount of time before dying. He was once a villain, but now he’s reformed. He tried to kidnap a human, but she was able to escape! He was lots of fun to design! Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you again next week!

Christian’s Weapons

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of two of my villain characters! The hooded  mage is Zechariah, and he’s Christian’s boyfriend. I felt compelled to draw this when I watched the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, which I thoroughly enjoyed! Since Christian is a villain, he has a wide variety of weapons to choose from. Overall, I had a blast drawing this! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

When It Rains, Put On A Coat!

Hello! Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of me wearing a raincoat dress! I was sitting in my room one day when I thought, “What if there were raincoats shaped like dresses?” So I broke out my pencil and sketchbook, and drew the concept. Afterwards, I took a picture and drew it on my tablet, and here’s the result! I feel like I could have made the dress a better shape, but overall, I think I drew a unique picture! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Battle Attire

Hello! Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of myself. I wanted to draw what my persona would look like if she wore battle attire. I liked this design, but I’m afraid I won’t be keeping it. I feel like it doesn’t suit her. I’ve been practicing on my shading lately and I think I’m doing a good job! What do you think? Overall, I had a blast drawing this, but it was really hard to come up with this design. I think maybe I’ll just put a suit of armor on her and be done with it. Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you again next week!

Chris The Tellyhead

Hello! Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of another one of my original characters. This is Chris. He’s a shy, introverted guy that doesn’t get out much but he’s actually really nice. I came up with his concept a few years ago and I’m kinda proud of his design! He’s supposed to be wearing a galaxy patterned hoodie. I made him to go along with Winslow but I don’t think that’s a good idea now. Overall, I had fun designing this character and I’d like to do more with him! Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you again next week!

Abalone, The Gentleman

Hello! Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of a character that I drew a while back. I’d like to introduce you to “Abalone”. My best friend first came up with his concept last year, but she didn’t do much with him. I asked her if I could adopt him, and she said yes! Abalone is an amalgamation of qualities I love about men. I love a man that’s caring, has a good heart, good-looking, and sharply dressed. It was a bit of a challenge trying to come up with his design, but I think it was well worth it in the end. What matters is that I had a blast coming up with him, and I’d like to do more with him. Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Winslow’s New Clothes

Hello! Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of my character, Winslow, wearing some fancy clothing I saw online. I was feeling creative one night, so I drew him wearing that outfit and it fits him like a glove, don’t you think? I had a blast drawing him like this, and I want to draw him wearing more different outfits. Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Anime Cat

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of an anime cat that was based off of a plush that I bought off of Amazon last year. I named the plush Mews, because I was inspired by Stranger Things. I used anime and manga cats as a reference for this artwork. It was difficult to come up with the color for the original sketch, but I was able to finally decide on one! Overall, I still had fun drawing this artwork! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

New Haircut

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of my persona with a different hair cut! What drove me to draw this was because I was having a very rough week, and I felt like I didn’t know who I was anymore. So, in order to cope, I looked up hairstyles for women, and I chose one that I liked, and drew it on my persona! It made me feel a lot better, but I’m still questioning who I am. Overall, I had a blast drawing this. Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Ernest The Homeless Mouse

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of one of my older original characters. This is Ernest. He’s a homeless mouse that’s trying to find a home. I came up with his concept a few years ago. I think it was around Christmas? His scarf was inspired by a shirt that I own that has a similar pattern. I can’t really remember how I came up with him, I just kinda like mice and he just walked right in the door. Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Winslow Doing The Splits

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a simple drawing of my character Winslow doing the splits. What inspired me to draw this artwork was one day I was talking to a friend about Winslow and they made me come up with the idea of him doing the splits! Another reason why I wanted to draw this was because I found it fitting for Winslow’s character to do something like this. He’s a happy-go-lucky entertainer, so he has his own way of entertaining the audience. I’m very pleased with how this drawing came out. I’m especially proud of the simple background. Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Christian’s Evil Glare

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of my villain character, Christian! What inspired me to draw this was that famous scene from Psycho where Norman Bates smiles creepily at the camera. I'm amazed that I was able to draw this because I didn't even look at a picure of that scene as a reference! I just pictured it in my head. I'm very proud of this drawing and I hope I can draw more pictures like this! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

My Original Character Walter

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of another one of my original characters! His name is Walter, and he’s a fishbowl object head! I came up with his concept because I thought I needed another character to make original art of for the Art Festival last year. I ended up not using him, because I had more content than I realized. Walter is a down-to-Earth guy that enjoys calm days on the beach. Whenever he feels a different emotion, a goldfish that corresponds to that emotion will swim out of the castle that’s in his fishbowl and go back in. Whenever he’s feeling multiple emotions, a school of fish will swim around in his bowl. My best friend was nice enough to help me come up with those ideas! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Lace Dress

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another drawing of me wearing another pretty dress that I found online! This was just a simple drawing I made, but I had a hard time deciding how to draw the lace part of the dress. I wanted to draw myself in this dress to see how I’d look if I wore it! The skirt was difficult, but I finally managed to draw it! As for the pose, I just copied it from an image I found online! The last thing I noticed was that the drawing looked blank without a background, so I looked for a cherry blossom photo and set that as the background. Despite the small difficulties, I still had fun drawing this! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Shading Practice

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with yet another artwork of me wearing a pretty dress that I found online. I felt inspired to draw this because I wanted to test out shading. I don’t normally do shading because it’s hard for me to do. But I feel like I did a good job with this artwork because I put a lot of effort into it. It was also fun picking out the colors for this; including the background. The feet were the hardest part for me to draw, but I love the way my blonde hair turned out! Overall, I had fun drawing this and will definitely try shading more often! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

My Villain Character

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of another one of my original characters! His name’s Christian, and he’s one of my villain characters. But this is not what he normally looks like. Actually, he wears a long black trench coat that reaches down past his knees. The reason why I wanted to draw him without his coat is because I wanted to show what he wears under it for his design. This is another piece I tried selling at the Art Festival, but no one bought it. I still had a blast drawing it though! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Object Head Persona

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of what I think I would look like as an object head! I think I’d be a sketchbook with telekinetic powers. I’d use them to lift up pencils, colored pencils, markers, paintbrushes, and ink pens. It’d be a different method to help me draw. I got the idea for the dress because I saw a similar dress on Pinterest that I loved. Oh, and my persona’s able to change her outfit whenever she likes! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Dancing Lady

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another drawing I sold at the Art Festival last year. I was inspired to draw this because I was looking around on Pinterest when I saw this beautiful dress that I instantly fell in love with. I drew myself wearing it and picked a dancing pose to compliment it. I’m very happy with how this turned out and I’m planning to draw more pictures like this. Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Rainy Days

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another drawing that I drew for the Art Festival last year. What inspired me to draw this artwork was last year for Thanksgiving, we spent it at my Aunt’s parent’s house. I got to wear this beautiful green and gold-striped dress that I bought at Stein Mart. The dress reminded me of the Emerald City from The Wizard of Oz. It was really cold out, so I wore a black trenchcoat my Grandmother got for me the year before for Christmas. It was also a rainy day. I will see you again next week!

Welcome To The Show

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of one of my original characters. I’d like to introduce Winslow. He’s a successful entertainer robot. He’s the star of his own shows and is a fun-loving gentleman. What inspired me to draw this picture is because last year my school was hosting a booth at the Art Festival where students show off their art. I sold this and a few other drawings at the festival and I made $40 off of two that I sold. This artwork was one of the two. I had a blast drawing this! I will see you again next week!

Koi Fish Pond

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a digital drawing of a koi fish pond. I was inspired to draw this when my Grandmother was driving me home from school and we passed by this Japanese restaurant called Kobe’s. At the entrance and around the side, they have these lovely koi fish ponds. I was also inspired by a painting of koi fish that I saw in a doughnut shop that I go to sometimes. The lily pads were hard to draw but I’m thankful that I won’t have to draw them again for a while. It was a blast drawing this and I consider it to be one of my Magnum Opuses.

Before I go, let me introduce you to some of the characters because you will be seeing them again sometime. The TV head is one of my originals. His name is Winslow. He’s an successful entertainer. And the girl is my persona. I hope you enjoy this piece and I can’t wait to share another next week!

Hello I am Ferrin

Hello, my name's Ferrin, but I go by Olivia Rain. I am autistic and this is my blog.

I'm a self-taught artist. Art has been my passion for as long as I can remember. The drawing you see above is my interpretation of what a mountain looks like at nighttime. I drew this because when I was on my way home from the grand opening of my Uncle's second restaurant, I saw some mountains, and it was late at night, so they were hard to see. When I finally got home, I went to my tablet and drew the above picture. Another reason I drew this is because I enjoy drawing scenic pictures. This year I sold this piece for $20 at the Desert Art Festival in Palm Springs.

That's all I'm going to say for now and I can't wait to share more of my art and opinions with you.

Until next time,

I am Olivia Rain.
