Stop For Deer

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature piece! I decided to do something a little different this week! I added a stop sign because while I was scrolling through TikTok, I found a picture that was similar to this and I thought, “I can draw that!” And that’s how this drawing came to be! Overall, I had a blast drawing this and I hope I can come up with something different next week! I think we can all agree that this year hasn’t been the best, but hopefully next year will be better! An Evening In The Forest

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a brand new nature piece! I had no idea what to draw this week, until my Grandmother pointed out how beautiful the scenery looked from outside my window, and that’s when I thought, “Hey! There’s something that I can draw!” And that’s how this artwork came to be! I had a little trouble with the placement of the clouds, but I think they look good in the end! Overall, I had a blast drawing this and I‘d like to announce something. As some of you know, Christmas is next week, so there will be no new art! New art will be posted on New Years Eve! Bat Cat

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with an animal fusion! It’s a black cat with bat wings! I got inspiration for this because when I was on a call with my best friend, she was showing me pictures from Twitter, and one of them had black kittens wearing bat wing costumes, and I immediately fell in love and had to draw one myself! So bestie, if you’re reading this, here’s my bat-cat hybrid! I had a blast drawing this even though I had a little trouble with the bat wings, but I think it was worth it in the end! Christmas Ornament

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with something a little different! I was having art block again, but because the holiday season has just started and my Grandma loves Christmas, I decided to draw a Christmas ornament! I wish I could’ve done the shading a bit different, but there’s always a next time! While I had a bit of difficulty drawing this, I had fun and I hope I can come up with more holiday related art! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another animal drawing! Since we moved out to Texas last month, we’re in a wooded area with a lot of wildlife, and one of the animals we have is deer, so I decided to draw one! Cardinal

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and I finally return with a drawing of a cardinal! I hope it makes up for my long absence! I got busy with moving away, packing up, getting settled, and art block on top of it all! I finally got inspiration when I went outside to take my dog out and I saw a cardinal in a tree! I was thrilled because I had never seen one in person before, so I drew this lineless artwork! Personally, I’m a little proud of this one, and I hope you all enjoy it too! Black Cat

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of a black cat to celebrate the up and coming season of Halloween! Recently I’ve discovered that I love the fall season, even if I‘m not that much into the pumpkin spice latte that girls love to drink this time of year. But before that, I’ve been fascinated with black cats, despite their history of “bad luck”. I used a set of different brushes to draw this, and I think it turned out well! Where The Red Fern Grows

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing! I was sitting on the couch watching movies with my Grandma earlier this week and we watched “Where The Red Fern Grows” and I thought, “Hey! That’s something I could draw!” And that’s how this drawing came to be! I had a little difficulty drawing the ferns, and I don’t think they look the best, but I can improve next time! I had fun drawing this though, despite the difficulties! I’m proud of this drawing, and I hope my next idea turns out good! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

The Leaves of Fall

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing! Since fall is coming, and it’s become my new favorite season, I decided to draw an autumn tree! It took a lot of effort, but I think it worked out well in the end! I was going to add some brown and yellow leaves, but I decided to leave those out because it didn’t look that good! Afternoon Tea

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a still life drawing! If there’s one type of tea I’d like to try, it’s green tea! I don’t know much about what it tastes like, but I enjoy a good cup of tea every now and then! The tea took a bit of shading, as well as the plate the teacup’s sitting on! I had a bit of trouble drawing this, but I think it looks okay! There’s actually a story behind what got me into tea! It was the day after Mother’s Day, and I had caught a really bad case of the stomach flu, so when my Grandma called the doctor, they advised that I drink some tea every five or fifteen minutes. And so, my love for tea was born, and I lived to drink more cups of it! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a more detailed nature drawing! It was inspired by a walk on the beach that I experienced two years ago. It was such a positive experience that I had to put it into a drawing I feel like I could’ve drawn the mountains better, but practice makes perfect, eh? Last week, when I was watching The Last Unicorn on Tubi, I saw a scene that was similar to this in the intro and I thought, “Hey! That would make a good drawing!” And so, here it is! The Fruits of Summer

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of a fruit bowl! I was wondering if I should draw another nature art piece for this week, until I remembered that I drew a bowl of fruit for my art class back in high school, so I decided, “Hey, why not digitalize it?” And here’s this drawing! I feel like I should’ve made the mangoes a different shade of green, but I can always improve! Despite that, I had a little difficulty drawing this, but I think it turned out good! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing! Since I’ve drawn more than enough greenery, I decided to switch over to a different season! This is supposed to be a snowy forest! I had a bit of trouble drawing the snow, but thanks to the different brushes I had, I was able to draw it! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a still life drawing! I’ve fallen in love with strawberry milk lately, so I decided to draw that for my art blog! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with actual art! Can you believe it? I was once again hit by an art block meteor, so I decided to draw something different! I had this drawing lying around in my tablet’s gallery, so I decided to digitalize it! It took a while to draw this, but I think it turned out okay! I tried to add shading to my persona’s hair, and I think I could do a better job! To be honest, I didn’t have much fun drawing this, but I hope I can draw something better next week! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing! I got hit by a huge art block meteor this week, and I didn’t know what I could draw! Luckily, at the last minute! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing! After last week’s drawing, I realized that adding details can really change a drawing, so I added some details here! I copied this off of an image from Google, and I think I did a good job at replicating it! I even added different types of grass and a few plants to spice it up a bit! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing! It’s supposed to be a foggy forest! It was inspired by a nature photo that I saw on TikTok! Personally, I’m very proud of how this drawing turned out! I had a little trouble with the hole in front of the pathway, but I finally managed to make it look good! It took a lot of work to draw this, but I think it all paid off! I’m happy with the colors of the trees! I’m hoping that I can draw more pictures like this, and I hope you all will enjoy them! Talking To The Moon

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another scenic drawing! This is supposed to be a drawing of the moon with some clouds in front of it, accompanied with a glow and stars in the background! It took a lot of work to do this, but I think it was worth it in the end! Special thanks to my best friend for helping me out with a couple details! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this I return with an actual drawing! Can you believe it? I was listening to an audiobook of the book Poppy by Avi, and I thought, “Hey, why not draw a deer mouse for my art blog?” So that’s how this artwork came to be! It took a lot of effort, but I think I could’ve done better with the tree trunk. I think I did an okay job with this drawing, but hopefully I can improve! Cloudy Day

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing. This one is supposed to be a tree on a hill with a grassy field and a cloudy sky behind it. Personally, I think I did a good job on the clouds and grass! I used two different brushes for the grass and clouds. To make the grass look lighter, I lowered the opacity a bit! It’s a little trick I learned a while back! Overall, I’m really proud of hoe this turned out and it was fun drawing it! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Drop of Rainbow

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with something spontaneous! I was gonna draw another nature piece, but then this idea came to me at the last second, so I went with this instead! I’d describe this as a drop of a rainbow, with a flare in the middle! I used a filter to make this not look so harsh on the eyes, I hope it helps you, dear viewer! In The Forest

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing. I’m feeling much better now after my break and I’m ready to start drawing again! As you can see I do a dirt path with some grass and leaves behind it to create a scene of a forest! It took a lot of effort but I think it paid off well for this drawing! I’ve started using special filters to make the trees look a different shade from the grass, and I think it’s really useful! Overall I had fun trying this and I can’t wait to draw more like it. Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing! I was watching a movie about this boy that was trying to play football, and I saw a scene where a grove of trees was the background, so I decided “Hey! That can be my next drawing!” So here it is! I put a lot of effort into this, and I think it paid off in the end! I wish I could’ve made the grass a little darker, but overall, I had fun drawing this! Tree of Flowers

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing! I drew a tree with flowers in it! It took a bit of work, but I think it was worth it in the end! I don’t know what else to say, so I’ll tell you a few tricks I did for this! I darkened the grass using the multiply filter, I lowered the opacity for some parts of it, and I even lowered the opacity for the blossoms in the back! Flower Wreath

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of flowers that I arranged into what I call a wreath! I wanted to try something different this week, and I figured that this would suffice! The flowers that I used in order were; ginkgos for the corners, and the others are balloon flowers, chrysanthemums, cherry blossoms, roses, petals, and a peony in the middle!

Criss Cross

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing! I wanted to try something different with my artwork, so I tried something a little crazy! I made the trees run into each other in a V-shaped pattern, like how ducks fly. In order to make the dead tree stand out, I simply inverted the colors. Overall, I think I did a good job with the trees, and I can’t wait to see what else I can do with them! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Life And Death

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing! I wanted to come up with something a little different, so I’ve decided to put a dead tree next to a live tree to represent how life and death work together. It’s dark, but it’s true. I think I did a good job with the borders and background effects. Another thing I want to say is that I’m gonna be sharing my art in the afternoon instead of early in the morning. Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature- Er, if you can consider this nature, drawing! I was a little low on ideas, and I wanted to draw another nature photo, so I decided to draw something different! And this was the result! It’s a wasteland where the tress are dead and the sky is dull! Personally, I’m proud with how the clouds turned out, and the trees are nice, despite how lifeless they are!

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another drawing of my character Winslow! I couldn’t come up with any ideas on what to draw him doing, until I remembered my teenage years where I collected those old Five Nights at Freddy’s plushies designed by Funko! So I decided to draw Winslow in that style! Another reason why I wanted to draw this is because since I’m mildly autistic, plushies are one of my special interests and I have a giant collection of them! Overall, I had fun drawing this! Cherry Blossom Tree

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing because art block sucks and it can go jump off a microwave! I attempted to draw a cherry blossom tree in full bloom. I had a little trouble with getting the flowers to look good, but I think I did an okay job! The grass wasn’t that difficult, and I tried to incorporate the style I used for it in that forest drawing! Overall, I had fun drawing this and I hope you enjoy it too! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with actual art in the form of a comic! Crazy, right? Anyways, due to some recent life events, I felt like making this comic as some advice for myself, and everyone else! It’s taken from a scene from the last Night At The Museum movie, and it’s dedicated to the memory of the late Robin Williams. May he Rest In Peace, and live on in our hearts and memories.
