Empty Promises

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with an art piece that’s more personal. I don’t like to open up about my personal life, but I had a parent that wasn’t consistent with their promises and would sometimes give me empty ones, which was what inspired me to draw this piece. I tried to put a lot of detail into this, and I think it all paid off in the end! I’m especially pleased with the background, but I wish that it wasn’t so difficult to bend the text on the banner. Overall, I had fun drawing this and I’m always questioning what else I can draw. Thanks for reading, and I will see you soon!

Clowning Around

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of a fish I’m sure you can all recognize from a popular animated film. I was thinking about Finding Nemo and I didn’t have any idea what to draw this week, but when I looked closer at a clownfish I went, “I can draw that!” which is what led to this art piece. I put a lot of detail into this drawing and I think it all paid off! I actually had a blast drawing this and I wonder what else I can draw! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again soon!

Bleeding Hearts

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with what is considered to be a toxic flower. It’s the bleeding heart! What inspired me to draw this unique plant is that I was scrolling through TikTok when I stumbled across one of those “flower lore” posts, and it featured the plant in the drawing, so here it is! Despite the fact that it contains isoquinoline alkaloids that are poisonous to both humans and animals, I consider it to be a truly beautiful and unique flower that comes from the papaveraceae family. I put in a lot of effort into this drawing, and I think it paid off! Overall, I had a blast drawing this and I’m wondering what other types of flowers that I can draw! The Moon and the Stars

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with an art piece of the moon and the stars! There was a solar eclipse that occurred earlier this week, and my family and I were lucky enough to see it! It was by far the greatest thing I have gotten to experience, and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to see it! Another thing that inspired this art piece is that when I went outside to take my dog out, I saw a crescent moon with the evening star next to it, so I decided to recreate that! Bubbles

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a more aesthetic art piece. It’s my persona relaxing underwater admiring some bubbles. I have a friend that draws these incredible art pieces that inspire me, and I’ve always been a fan of bubbles, so I decided to draw a more detailed art piece! Butterfly Stitch

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with something that I think is a little unusual, but in a good way because who says that art can be normal? It was going to be a normal drawing of a butterfly, but while I was fixing dinner, I decided to add a string of thread attached to a needle into my art piece! I’m pleased with how the background and the butterfly’s wings turned out, and I actually used a rare species for this drawing! It’s called a “Morpho”. Overall, I had a blast drawing this and I hope I can draw more unique pictures! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week! 

The Daisy Vine

 

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a flower called “spreading fleabane”. It’s a plant that sprouts flowers that look similar to daisies, but they’re incredibly tiny and come in clusters. There can be 100 of these tiny flowers in one growth, which I find to be incredible. They’re native to western North America and can bloom in pink, yellow, and purple from early spring to late autumn. It took a lot of patience to draw all of these daisies, but I think the effort paid off! I wonder what other types of plants that I can draw. Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you again next week!

Lily Of The Valley

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of the beautiful yet poisonous lily-of-the-valley. I was looking through slideshows of flowers when I came across a picture of these flowers and decided, “I could draw that!” Thus, this was created! The flowers were fairly easy to draw, and I’m pleased with how the shading on the stems turned out! I had difficulty designing the background, but I like how it looks! Overall, I had a blast drawing this and I wonder what other types of flowers I can draw! Thanks for reading!

Plasma Globe

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of something that I won from the arcade when I was a kid. It’s a plasma globe. I was a bit stumped on what I wanted to draw this week, but I managed to come up with this idea at the last minute! I’m pleased with how the lighting bolts turned out, and I can say that the amount of effort I put in paid off! I had a blast drawing this, and I can’t help but wonder what else I can draw! Web of Lies

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of a black widow spider in her web! I was initially going to draw cherry blossoms but I wasn’t up to it. Then I remembered a friend of mine that really loves bugs, so I figured “Why not draw a spider web?” I also added a black widow spider to make it more interesting. It took a little trial and error with a side of patience to draw this, but I think it turned out okay! Overall, I had a blast drawing this and remember to always tell the truth so you don’t get caught in the web of lies! Thanks for reading!

Panda Plush

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of a panda plush! I was stumped at first on what I was gonna draw this week, but this idea happened to pop in my head at the last minute, so here it is! I had a little difficulty drawing the body of the bear, but I think it turned out good! Overall, I had a lot of fun drawing this and I hope I can come up with an idea sooner! Tears Of The Swan

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of a sad swan! I can’t remember how I got this idea, but it just popped into my head one day and I decided to draw it! So here it is! If there’s something that you can take from this drawing, it’s that no matter how strong you are, it’s okay to cry. Crying is not a sign of weakness, and it’s a good way to get our emotions out. Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of a rubber ducky! I was shopping at TJ Maxx last week and I was looking through the shampoo/body wash aisle when I saw this cute bottle that had a rubber duck on it, so I took a picture of it. When I was looking through my photo gallery later, I saw the picture again and thought; “I could draw that!” So here it is! I had a little difficulty drawing the duck’s beak, but I think it turned out well! Overall, I had a blast drawing this and I wonder what else I can draw next! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with an art piece of a man in a suit! It was going to be a drawing of a simple bow tie, but I ended up drawing a fancy man instead! I tried to make the suit realistic by adding wrinkles, and I think I did a great job at them! I’m also pleased with how the bow tie came out, I just wish I didn’t forget to shade it! Rainy Days

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of rain clouds! I was initially going to draw a bow tie, but I felt melancholy, so I decided to turn it into a weather related art piece! I had a little difficulty drawing the clouds, but I think they turned out okay! In my opinion, the trees add a nice touch! Overall, I had fun drawing this and I hope my bow tie looks good! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of a toy some of you might remember! It’s a weazel ball! I didn’t know what to draw again this week, so while I was looking through photos I took in the gift shop part of Cracker Barrel, I found a picture I had taken of one of these little guys and I went, “I could draw that!” So here it is! I had a little trouble getting the shape of the weazel to look good, but I think it turned out okay! Overall, I had fun drawing this and I’m wondering what other kinds of toys I can draw! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another chili related art piece! I couldn’t think of anything to draw this week, so I decided to turn my art block into actual art! I drew a chibi sketchbook and added a cute background, and I’m pleased with the overall aesthetic of this drawing! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and I return with a string light Christmas tree! What initially inspired me to draw this was that last Sunday, I went out to dinner with my family and we went to a Christmas light show afterwards! They had trees similar to this one up, so I decided to draw one! It was difficult drawing the lights and deciding the colors, but I think they turned out okay! Overall, I had a blast drawing this! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a Christmas related art piece! I figured that since it’s the holidays, it would be fair to draw candy canes! It was really difficult to get the shape of them, but I think they look good! I used a lot of effects so they would stand out from the background, and I think they paid off! Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a cute mushroom! I was originally going to draw just a regular one, but I went with a cuter one instead! This was inspired by those cutesy objects that you see on the internet. Drawing this little guy was NOT easy! I tried to put in a lot of effort, and I think it all paid off!
