Black Cat

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of a black cat to celebrate the up and coming season of Halloween! Recently I’ve discovered that I love the fall season, even if I‘m not that much into the pumpkin spice latte that girls love to drink this time of year. But before that, I’ve been fascinated with black cats, despite their history of “bad luck”. I used a set of different brushes to draw this, and I think it turned out well! Where The Red Fern Grows

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing! I was sitting on the couch watching movies with my Grandma earlier this week and we watched “Where The Red Fern Grows” and I thought, “Hey! That’s something I could draw!” And that’s how this drawing came to be! I had a little difficulty drawing the ferns, and I don’t think they look the best, but I can improve next time! I had fun drawing this though, despite the difficulties! I’m proud of this drawing, and I hope my next idea turns out good! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

The Leaves of Fall

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another nature drawing! Since fall is coming, and it’s become my new favorite season, I decided to draw an autumn tree! It took a lot of effort, but I think it worked out well in the end! I was going to add some brown and yellow leaves, but I decided to leave those out because it didn’t look that good! Afternoon Tea

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a still life drawing! If there’s one type of tea I’d like to try, it’s green tea! I don’t know much about what it tastes like, but I enjoy a good cup of tea every now and then! The tea took a bit of shading, as well as the plate the teacup’s sitting on! I had a bit of trouble drawing this, but I think it looks okay! There’s actually a story behind what got me into tea! It was the day after Mother’s Day, and I had caught a really bad case of the stomach flu, so when my Grandma called the doctor, they advised that I drink some tea every five or fifteen minutes. And so, my love for tea was born, and I lived to drink more cups of it! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Summer Night

 

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a more detailed nature drawing! It was inspired by a walk on the beach that I experienced two years ago. It was such a positive experience that I had to put it into a drawing I feel like I could’ve drawn the mountains better, but practice makes perfect, eh?
