Winslow Doing The Splits

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a simple drawing of my character Winslow doing the splits. What inspired me to draw this artwork was one day I was talking to a friend about Winslow and they made me come up with the idea of him doing the splits! Another reason why I wanted to draw this was because I found it fitting for Winslow’s character to do something like this. He’s a happy-go-lucky entertainer, so he has his own way of entertaining the audience. I’m very pleased with how this drawing came out. I’m especially proud of the simple background. Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Christian’s Evil Glare

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of my villain character, Christian! What inspired me to draw this was that famous scene from Psycho where Norman Bates smiles creepily at the camera. I'm amazed that I was able to draw this because I didn't even look at a picure of that scene as a reference! I just pictured it in my head. I'm very proud of this drawing and I hope I can draw more pictures like this! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

My Original Character Walter

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of another one of my original characters! His name is Walter, and he’s a fishbowl object head! I came up with his concept because I thought I needed another character to make original art of for the Art Festival last year. I ended up not using him, because I had more content than I realized. Walter is a down-to-Earth guy that enjoys calm days on the beach. Whenever he feels a different emotion, a goldfish that corresponds to that emotion will swim out of the castle that’s in his fishbowl and go back in. Whenever he’s feeling multiple emotions, a school of fish will swim around in his bowl. My best friend was nice enough to help me come up with those ideas! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Lace Dress

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with another drawing of me wearing another pretty dress that I found online! This was just a simple drawing I made, but I had a hard time deciding how to draw the lace part of the dress. I wanted to draw myself in this dress to see how I’d look if I wore it! The skirt was difficult, but I finally managed to draw it! As for the pose, I just copied it from an image I found online! The last thing I noticed was that the drawing looked blank without a background, so I looked for a cherry blossom photo and set that as the background. Despite the small difficulties, I still had fun drawing this! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Shading Practice

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with yet another artwork of me wearing a pretty dress that I found online. I felt inspired to draw this because I wanted to test out shading. I don’t normally do shading because it’s hard for me to do. But I feel like I did a good job with this artwork because I put a lot of effort into it. It was also fun picking out the colors for this; including the background. The feet were the hardest part for me to draw, but I love the way my blonde hair turned out! Overall, I had fun drawing this and will definitely try shading more often! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

My Villain Character

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of another one of my original characters! His name’s Christian, and he’s one of my villain characters. But this is not what he normally looks like. Actually, he wears a long black trench coat that reaches down past his knees. The reason why I wanted to draw him without his coat is because I wanted to show what he wears under it for his design. This is another piece I tried selling at the Art Festival, but no one bought it. I still had a blast drawing it though! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!

Object Head Persona

Hello, Olivia Rain here, and this week I return with a drawing of what I think I would look like as an object head! I think I’d be a sketchbook with telekinetic powers. I’d use them to lift up pencils, colored pencils, markers, paintbrushes, and ink pens. It’d be a different method to help me draw. I got the idea for the dress because I saw a similar dress on Pinterest that I loved. Oh, and my persona’s able to change her outfit whenever she likes! Thanks for reading, and I will see you again next week!
